MELBOURNE - THE CREATIVE VILLAGE

Melbourne has an incredibly creative community - whether working in the creative industries or creating or performing for pleasure. During lockdown we have engaged with people remotely.

Creativity is good for our wellbeing, and as we emerge from a year of Covid restrictions let’s come together, draw, paint, create beautiful things, make music, talk, write, share our thoughts and our images.

The Making Way

The Making Way project launched in 2020 with the aim of engaging more local people with the creative community which has grown up around the Melbourne Festival to enhance well-being within the community. The Making Way is a series of public arts projects which aim to celebrate the rich history and heritage of the locality through supporting original creative projects and practices. The aim of The Making Way is to find and support new ways of coming together and create a platform to share a collective community voice! Through a series of projects and workshops we aim to encourage open and supportive group environments and create the chance for participants to share their stories and to collectively re-imagine the place in which we live.
